Being a single parent means carrying responsibilities that most people never fully see.
You work hard to provide for your children.
You make sacrifices, stretch every peso, and do your best to give them opportunities you may not have had growing up.
You are not just a parent.
You are often the primary provider, caregiver, protector, and planner for your family's future.
But here's the uncomfortable truth:
Many hardworking single parents unknowingly make financial decisions that could leave their children vulnerable if life takes an unexpected turn.
The problem isn't a lack of love.
The problem is that most people are never taught how to build a financial foundation designed for the unique challenges single parents face.
That's why I created this free guide.

I'm Jonathan Mendoza, a licensed financial wealth planner of FWD Philippines based in Metro Manila.
I help parents like you lay the financial foundation that keeps your family's future standing strong through life's financial disasters.

Back in 2016, when I received my first salary as a junior software engineer, I was excited to start investing.
But before I did, I decided to spend one month tracking where my money was actually going.
What I discovered surprised me.
My basic needs alone were consuming more than 70% of my take-home pay.
There wasn't much left to save—let alone invest.
That's when I realized something important:
The problem wasn't that I needed better investments.
The problem was that I hadn't yet built a strong financial foundation.
And no amount of investing could solve that.
So I began building my financial foundation that same year.
Whenever I had extra funds available, I invested them in software engineering books and online courses to increase my income and strengthen my long-term earning potential.
After several years of diligently following this 5-step framework, I finally reached the point where I could begin investing for long-term wealth accumulation.
In April 2025, I joined FWD Philippines and became a licensed Financial Wealth Planner so I could help Filipino parents build the same strong financial foundation for their own families.
Today, my mission is simple:
To help parents create a financial foundation strong enough to support their dreams, protect the people they love, and withstand life's unexpected challenges.
